Encouraging new and growing businesses within the East Riding is a key issue for the council. As part of this ongoing commitment, we have invested in a range of modern business centres with office and workshop accommodation suitable for start-up, small and medium-sized businesses.

Our business centre occupants share a stimulating, friendly and professional business environment with a number of other dynamic companies. This gives the advantage of the collegiate support available within large corporations and allows excellent networking opportunities.

In uncertain times it is particularly important to be able to respond quickly to changes in business circumstances. Our business centre occupants can downsize or expand within a business centre without penalty and still keep the same address; they can use the facilities of another business centre in the portfolio or move on, without further costs after giving one month's notice.

Overview
Following extensive refurbishment to the old flying club, Brough Business Centre opened in July 2008 to provide luxury office accommodation suitable to new and medium enterprises, with an emphasis on the advanced engineering and high-growth sectors. Funding was received from Yorkshire Forward, ERDF and East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The centre has several meeting areas, complete with wi-fi.
Conference and meeting facilities

A modern purpose-built conference suite, which can seat up to 60 people.

Fixed projectors, smartboards, a public address system, lecterns, wi-fi access, flip charts and TV/video all included in the hire charge.

Refreshments can be arranged upon request.

The conference room can be divided into two smaller meeting rooms.

Hire charges are available on request.

Please note: there is currently a reduced capacity for the number of delegates at all the centre's meeting facilities following the requirement for social distancing.
