Our ICT business advisors offer one-to-one support through the ICT for Growth scheme. They can review your current IT infrastructure, model your business processes and advise on how IT can be used to improve those processes.
Services range from:
looking at your current situation and helping you to understand your requirements
analysis of your needs
researching IT technologies on your behalf
helping you to choose the right system and suppliers
supporting you to make the right decisions.
You can consider our advisers to be a critical friend - someone who can help you look at the big picture and explore different options, someone you can bounce ideas with, sometimes thinking 'out-of-the-box' solutions, and someone who will challenge you to think beyond the present to futureproof your business. They can be the bridge between the technological and the business worlds.
We have helped businesses with a range of requirements, from remote working, backup and recovery systems, cloud servers versus in-house servers, cloud accounting and developing an online presence to the implementation of big system changes such as Customer Relationship Management systems, Enterprise Resource Planning and computerised Stock Control systems.
Get registered with the #growmysme programme and access the ICT for Growth scheme which has been designed to support businesses to grow through the adoption of new digital technologies that help to bring efficiencies, reduce costs, and increase profitability. More recently, Covid has proved that technology is a must for every business. The ICT scheme has helped a large number of businesses innovate their offering and survive into the future.
If you are a start-up and still in your first 12 months of trading, you can apply for a start-up grant which gives you a £1000 flat rate for an investment of between £2 to £2.5k without VAT. You can use it to buy new equipment, get a new website, basically get going with technology that will support your business.
The ICT scheme also offers free workshops and webinars which are currently delivered online. These have included cyber security, virtual and augmented reality, big data, remote working and business resilience with e-commerce.
Talk to us about an investment idea and if the ICT scheme cannot help, we can signpost you to other financial support that might be available from other schemes.
